Thursday 2. 10. was the final day of Army competition Summer Survival 2008 and Nutrend was there to provide the competitors and visitors with nutrition.

Summer Survival is an international outdoor competition that for 8 years takes place in the Czech Republic. It is a very demanding competition for soldiers that requires and proves not only physical and mental strength of each competitor but also skills that every military person should have. The whole competitions lasted for 5 days - from 29. 9. 2008 - 3. 10. 2008 - during which the competitors had to show their swimming skills, orientation in the nature with map and compass skills, rafting, shooting, running, water transport, rappel, cage orientation, obstacle cource and other skills. NUTREND as the partner of the Summer Survival provided to each competitior nutrition and for the last day we provided bars and drinking regime not only to competitors but to everybody who came to support the competitors.

So demanding competition, as the Summer Survival is, requires great conditions of the competitors and quality nutrition. It is very important to provide the body with good nutrition, energy, stimulate the body and provide recovery to be able to perform your best the following day. That is why the quality drinking regime (Profidrinx, Isodrinx, Unisport), bars which may replace meal when in nature and does not burden the digestive tract (e.g. Wellness Cake, Bio Wellness Cake, or Excelent Protein Bar), energy bars providing energy (Power Bike Bar ), stimulants (Shleha, Gutar) and product providing quality recovery (Regener, BCAA) all that is very important.

Summer Survival 2008 was the 8th year of the competition and the increasing number of competing teams indicates the growing popularity of this outdoor competition. In 2008 Summer Survival there were 18 teams including 5 international teams participating in the competition and there was again one totally feminine team that finished the whole competition which shows that there are very good women in the Army, too.
