Jiří Ježek got hearts of fans with his splendid performances in Australia

Cyclist Jiří Ježek came back form Australia last week and relished his competition – workout stay at the break of the year at antipodes’. “I succeeded; in Tasmanian Cycling Carnivals I have won two smaller races and in the most important ones I regularly got into finals, that was unexpected. Though, there was competition of Olympic winners and world champions,” rejoiced NUTREND Team star.

Australians are enthusiastic sportsmen who can appreciate qualities of competitors. Jiří Ježek got them with his performances and most of them remembered him in spite of his 2 years absence. “They didn’t forget me, I felt like at home. Fans were fantastical,” painted Jiří Ježek who moved after 7 days, on the 1st January, from Tasmania to Melbourne. .

There he exchanged cycling track for road and took part in prestigious competition Jayco Bay Classic, where the best home professionals, winners of Tour de France stages or world champions start. “Here I didn’t give any thought to placing,” smiled one of leaders of elite team supported by NUTREND Company and added: “I was fighting with top cycling stars for survival. It was high speed; I had to do my best to keep myself in race.”

In the end Jiří Ježek managed to get into finish: “When I saw faces of stars in the finish everyday, it was clear, that it was hard for everybody,” he pointed. But he became also the star of Australia, thanks to his fantastic performances he was often seen on TV and at news. “I was commended especially for excellent inspiration and positive example. It made me really happy, because this is the reason why I do cycling,” closed good-tempered Jiří Ježek.
